You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. - Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)

A few months ago I flew in a small plane. As the plane moved down the runway and began to gain altitude, I
noticed the change in cabin pressure. Feeling slightly fearful, I started
to pray: “Please, no
turbulence. May this be
a peaceful flight.”
Life can be like that...

Today's Prayer
Loving God, thank you for your constant presence among us. Grant us your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray as Jesus taught us, saying, “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” (Matt. 6:9-13, niv). Amen.

Respond by posting a prayer.

While several strategies for reopening the world are being discussed, I encourage you—the people of God everywhere—to allow this season to be a formative one during which you can make new discoveries about God and increase your faith. Use this time to embark on a life of prayer, a life of study, and a life of action—involvement in the community.”
