Sign Up Today“Which of these three . . . was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers?” [Jesus asked]. He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” - Luke 10:36-37 (NRSV)
Many people know the story of the good Samaritan and his compassion for the man who was in crisis. I find it interesting that the verb in today’s quoted verse is “showed.” It doesn’t say “the one who spoke about mercy” but rather the one who actively “showed him mercy.”...
To whom can I show God’s mercy today?

Our resolve must be different. My prayer is that we have finally reached a tipping point. My hope is that when the protests fade and the marches slow that our will as a church to truly eradicate the scourge of racism won’t dissipate but grows even stronger.”
