Scripture Overview

The Holy Spirit is God working in our lives to create sacred connection within our shared human struggle. The psalmist is overwhelmed by the splendid work of creation in Psalm 8. Paul writes in Romans about the powerful love we can find in the presence of the Holy Spirit. The Gospel of John echoes this sentiment by seeing the Holy Spirit as the messenger of truth. And finally, Wisdom, expressed as a female personification of God’s divine attribute, cries out from the city gates in Proverbs. The workings of the Holy Spirit create within us the space to hear the voice of God. As Wisdom cries out sacred truth, so should we continue to listen for the promptings of the Spirit.

Questions and Suggestions for Reflection

• Read John 16:12-15. How does the concept of integrity relate to your experience of God?

Respond by posting a prayer .

God of compassion and grace, thank you for always forgiving our mistakes and leading us toward greater learning. Amen.
