On Tuesday, May 25, 7:30 p.m. Central Time (May 26, 8:30 a.m. Philippine Standard Time), The Upper Room will host a virtual event to meet the Tagalog team. Come and meet these Spirit-led women and learn more about the edition and its ministry in the Philippines. The event is free-of-charge and is a perfect way for readers and writers of The Upper Room to come together as the global family of God to support one another in prayer and purpose. Initially conceived to be a print product, the Tagalog edition, Kasama ni Jesus, made its debut instead on social media, a strategic decision made in the wake of the global pandemic and lockdown. “Rolling out the daily devotional on social media yielded amazing results and led to enthusiastic responses,” says editor Phebe Gamata Crismo. When the lockdown ended and they were able to produce the first print version of the magazine, it sold out in less than two weeks. Crismo says, “Our dream is to put The Upper Room in every home.”
With God’s help and with the support and encouragement from people like you, these dream makers are making dreams come true. Come and support your sisters in Christ with your presence and encouragement. It’s a time together that you don’t want to miss.
Note: The Upper Room daily devotional is published in 37 languages, in more than 97 editions, and is distributed in more than 100 countries. The daily devotional has a readership (print and digital) of four million people. To produce the language editions, The Upper Room works with local ministry partners who translate, produce, market, and distribute the magazine to their constituents.
P.S. After registering for the online event, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Please save this email, as it contains your personal link to the event.
