From a young age I was taught by my parents to say “please” and “thank you.” When I was ten years old my mother died, and my grief was profound. Her death left a vast emptiness in my heart, and at that age I simply could not comprehend it all....
Today's Prayer
Merciful God, thank you for your promise to sustain us in all circumstances as we pray, “Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” (Matt. 6:9-13, niv). Amen.
