Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” - John 6:35 (NRSV)
In our small, rural county food pantries are sprouting up in many towns, supported by local churches. One church set an example of meeting the needs of children who qualify for the free school lunch program by sending them backpacks with ready-to-eat items to take home for the weekend.

I join many of those who will pray for you as you seek to discern what you are called to be at this moment. May God grant you the courage to fulfill that calling. May we all open our eyes and see the misery, open our ears and hear the cries of God’s people, and, like God through the Lord Jesus Christ, be incarnate amongst them.”
