What can I expect after I donate to your ministries?

Upon making a contribution to The Upper Room and providing a mailing address, you will receive in the mail a printed acknowledgement letter, which includes IRS tax information. If you give online, you will receive immediately an email confirmation as well as an email tax receipt. If you would like to receive acknowledgements or annual tax receipts only through email, please contact The Upper Room Development Office. As a donor, your contact information will only be used to receive direct mail communications and acknowledgements and/or email communications directly from the Upper Room Development Office. You can opt out of receiving mailings at any time by emailing our Development Office or calling us at 877-899-2781, ext. 7236, or 615-340-7236.

What do you do with my donor information? Is it secure?

All donor and donation information is securely stored in our donor database, DonorPerfect; and any and all payment information (i.e. credit cards, bank accounts, etc.) is processed, encrypted, and stored in our integrated SafeSave electronic payment gateway. This gateway is PCI compliant and uses a secure and encrypted Internet connection to transmit and store sensitive cardholder data. All donor information is protected and is never shared with outside third-party entities. We do not and will never sell your information. As a donor, your contact information is only used to receive direct mail communications and acknowledgements and/or email communications directly from The Upper Room Development Office. We keep your personal information private and secure. When you make a payment through our webforms, you provide your name, contact information, payment information, and additional information related to your transaction. We use this information to process your payment and to ensure your payment is correctly credited to your account.

What shows up on my statement?

When you give online or over the phone using a credit card, debit card, or bank account, your bank statement will read “UPPER ROOM MINISTRIES 615-3407061 TN US” or "WWW.UPPERROOM.ORG WWW.UPPERROOMTN".
