This new fund supports the spiritual life of clergy and other church leaders and is named after the Rev. Stephen D. Bryant, who retired in 2020 after 34 years of service at The Upper Room, including two stints as publisher.

Donations made to the Stephen Bryant Prayer and Spiritual Formation Fund will be used to create virtual and in-person events for pastors and church leaders to support their life with God as leaders in faith communities. The fund will also help to create a library of digital content to support the lifelong journey of spiritual formation for church leaders.

Our clergy and church leaders often lack the opportunity to set aside time to focus on their own spiritual health, resulting in bouts of burnout. It is well known that congregations thrive when their leaders are spiritually healthy and engaged in their own formational growth. Your gift to invest in the spiritual life of church leaders will help to ensure healthy congregations and communities.
